Announcements Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception The Immaculate Conception is transferred to Mon., Dec. 9 this year. Mass times for this Holy Day of Obligation are: 7:30am SP, 8:30am IHM & 6pm CTK. The pastorate office will be closed. Advent Retreat All are welcome to attend an Advent Retreat on Sat., Dec. 21 at 8am at IHM to escape the chaos of the final days of preparation and spiritually prepare for Christmas. The morning will begin with Adoration at 8am, continue with Mass at 9am and include a scripture study of each of the four unique Masses of Christmas following Mass. There is no charge to attend. A light breakfast will be provided. Events Prayer & Meditation As Martha prepared and served, Mary rested in the Lord's presence. This Advent, let's take a moment to follow Mary's example. The Women's Prayer and Fellowship group invites all women of our pastorate to spend an evening resting in the presence of the most Holy Tabernacle Dec. 8 from 6-8pm at St. Patrick. There will be a half hour of prayer & meditation in the church followed by refreshments & fellowship in the church hall. Contact: Mary Sullivan or Anne Pecard SVdP Angel Tree St. Vincent de Paul is collecting new toys and gift cards for families in need before Christmas. Pick an ornament from the Angel tree at IHM or SP & return your gift by Dec. 8. Toy donations should be significant items (no clothing) for children 10 years or younger, valued at $20-$25. Gift cards can be for Target, Walmart, or Burlington, with the amount marked on the front. You may purchase them through RaiseRight after IHM Masses on Dec. 1 & 8. Place gifts or money in the labeled box near the Angel tree. Members will be available to answer questions. Little Drummer Project CTK SVdP Conference is sponsoring the Little Drummer Gift Drive that provides Christmas gifts to children of families who cannot afford them. No physical gifts will be collected. Members of CTK Conference will be selling gift cards for Walmart and Target in the parish hall or entryway after Masses Dec. 7 & 8. Pancake Breakfast - CTK CTK Men’s Club is hosting a pancake breakfast on Dec. 8 in CTK church hall, 8am-11am. Advent Rosary Sale / Prayer Shawl Ministry Mary’s Rosary Assemblers is hosting its Advent Rosary Sales of lovely chain rosaries, wrist rosaries, and much more, to support its Rosary Ministry to foreign & domestic missions. Free publications and prayer guides are also available. After Mass at: SP - Dec 7-8, IHM - Dec 15. The Prayer Shawl Ministry will have a display in conjunction with the Rosary Sale. Come and learn about this spiritually caring ministry, pick up a free prayer shawl to comfort someone in need of healing and love, or find out how to get involved. Food donations and volunteers to serve the food are needed. CTK: Dec 17 & Dec 30, SP: Dec 18 St. Anne's Christmas Bake Sale Stella Maris St. Anne’s Altar Society will host a Christmas Bake Sale on Dec. 21 & 22 after all Masses, featuring cookie plates with assorted treats and our usual offerings. On Dec. 21, join us in IHM Marian Hall (school cafeteria) at 8am to make cinnamon rolls and at 11am to assemble cookie plates. Donations of cookies or candies are needed and can be dropped off on Dec. 21 from 8–11am or arranged with Teri Kuntzsch (608-206-5144, [email protected]). Volunteers are also needed to help set up before Mass and sell items after Mass. (Items for the sale can also be dropped off before Mass, packaged and ready to sell).
