All people of the Diocese of Madison are invited to attend “Sacred Music at the Oratory,” a musical series hosted by the Office of Worship. The series consists of four events taking place throughout the year at Holy Name Heights Oratory, 702 S. High Point Rd. The schedule includes:
Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024 at 4 p.m., “Vespers for the Second Sunday of Advent and Choral Meditation,” by the Diocesan Schola, with the music of Soriano, Palestrina, Wood, and Stopford.
Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024 at 3 p.m., “Annual Lessons and Carols,” by the Diocesan Choir, Diocesan Schola, and Chamber Orchestra, with the music of Hassler, Mendelssohn, Rutter, Weir, McDowall, Nestor, Ledger, and Darke.
Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 4 p.m., “Choral Meditation, Vespers for Laetare Sunday, and Benediction,” with the Diocesan Schola, featuring Miserere of Gregorio Allegri.
Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 4 p.m., "Choral Vespers and Concert," by the Diocesan Choir and Diocesan Schola, with the music of Proulx, Stopford, Palestrina, Howells, Parry, and Mawby.
