As the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples in tongues of flame, we will celebrate the Vigil of Pentecost on Saturday, June 7 at 5pm at Christ the King followed by a bonfire and tailgate.
A few clarifications so you can plan ahead accordingly:
The bonfire will begin between 6:30-7:00pm, depending on when the 5pm Mass finishes.
The pastorate will be providing s'mores ingredients that can be cooked over a smaller side fire.
Everything else is BYO (bring your own) - it's tailgate style! Bring whatever food, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and cooking mechanism you like to prepare your food. There is room to set up your grills and it's up to you if you want to bring enough food for your family or if you'd like to bring something to share.
Please bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, yard games, etc. There is plenty of space in the field for enjoying the fire, as well as letting the kids run around!
If you have any questions, please contact Ben Conrad who is generously spearheading this event. Come, Holy Spirit!
