Amen Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception The Immaculate Conception is transferred to Mon., Dec. 9 this year. Mass times for this Holy Day of Obligation are: 7:30am SP, 8:30am IHM & 6pm CTK. The pastorate office will be closed. Solemnity of Christ the King - Nov 24 On this Patronal Feast, the Solemn Mass moves to the 9am CTK Mass and the solemnity of the 9am at STP and 7:30am & 10:30am at IHM is minimized to permit musical resources to be concentrated at CTK. Volunteers Needed There will be fall church cleaning at St. Patrick on Friday, Nov. 22, from 8am to 10am. If you are available to help, please stop in. Events Discipleship Formation Nov. 20 - Catechesis Night in IHM Marian Hall at 6pm. If you missed Julie Bennett’s lay witness talk from Nov. 13, it is on our website. Pancake Breakfast - SP The KC's is hosting a membership drive and an all you can eat pancake breakfast on Nov. 17 in the St. Patrick church hall. Breakfast will be served from 8-11am. The breakfast will be a free-will offering, with proceeds supporting Heat for Heroes. They will also be collecting food donations for the Cottage Grove Food Pantry. Seminarian Pie Sale Pie tins will be available in the IHM narthex this weekend for anyone interested in baking and donating pies for the KC’s Seminarian Pie Sale, which will be held after both IHM Masses. Bring your freshly baked pies with you to Mass the on Nov 24. The proceeds help offset the educational expenses of seminarians currently in formation. SVdP Food Drive CTK & IHM Conferences of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are sponsoring a food drive for the SVdP Food Pantry in Madison, serving hundreds of families each week. Grocery bags with lists of needed items will be distributed after Masses on Nov. 16 & 17. Please return filled bags to CTK Church on Nov. 23 (4:30–5PM) or Nov. 24 (8:15–9AM), and to IHM Church on Nov. 24 (7–7:30 AM) or (10–10:30 AM). Donations can also be made online. Euchre Night Nov. 17 at CTK hall sponsored by the CTK Men's Club. Open to all adults, single and doubles. Gather at 6:30pm, euchre starts at 7pm. $5 entry, beverages available for a donation to the club. Youth Group Event High schoolers are invited to help serve food to those in need on Nov. 19 from 5 - 6:30pm. Meet at the Luke House (310 S Ingersoll St., Madison) or reach out if your teen needs transportation. To participate, complete the form here. SVdP Angel Tree St. Vincent de Paul is collecting new toys and gift cards for families in need before Christmas. Starting Nov. 23, pick an ornament from the Angel tree at IHM or SP & return your gift by Dec. 8. Toy donations should be significant items (no clothing) for children 10 years or younger, valued at $20-$25. Gift cards can be for Target, Walmart, or Burlington, with the amount marked on the front. You may purchase them through RaiseRight after IHM Masses on Dec. 1 & 8. Place gifts or money in the labeled box near the Angel tree. Members will be available to answer questions. Luke House - November The churches within our pastorate prepare and serve meals at the Luke House. Food donations and volunteers to serve the food are needed. CTK: Nov 19, SP: Nov 20 & IHM: Nov. 27. Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service A coalition of churches from throughout the Madison area will be co-sponsoring an Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service on Nov. 25 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 312 Wisconsin Ave. Details here. Lights for Loved Ones This Christmas remember loved ones in a special way by including their names in a place of honor on the tree in the IHM school entryway. The “lights” can be purchased for $2 each by Dec 3. All proceeds go to SVdP. Details here. Pancake Breakfast - CTK CTK Men’s Club is hosting a pancake breakfast on Dec. 8 in CTK church hall, 8am-11am. Prayer & Meditation As Martha prepared and served, Mary rested in the Lord's presence. This Advent, let's take a moment to follow Mary's example. The Women's Prayer and Fellowship group cordially invite all women of Stella Maris Pastorate to spend an evening resting in the presence of the most Holy Tabernacle Dec. 8 from 6-8pm at St. Patrick. There will be a half hour of prayer & meditation in the church followed by refreshments & fellowship in the church hall.
