Fri 9am-12pmTO THE FAITHFUL OF OUR PASTORATE,Some of you have noticed a recent change in the sanctuary at Christ the King and I want to offer a heartfelt apology for not communicating this change without prior notice or explanation. My artistic eye, which can be both a blessing and a curse, led me to replace the crucifix. My zeal for what I felt would enhance our worship space got the best of me. I chose a crucifix with a colored corpus, believing it would blend more harmoniously with the colors of the angels and that the dark wood would stand out more vividly against the blue background and stars.
In speaking with a few of you I have come to deeply appreciate the original crucifix, recognizing its significant history dating back to Fr. Koth, whom I hold in great respect. To honor this, I plan to prominently hang the original crucifix in the back chapel (baptistry), where I believe it will stand out profoundly against the white wall.
I understand that not everyone will agree with the change, but I can assure you the crucifix will absolutely remain patrimony of the church. I sincerely apologize for not communicating my intentions earlier and assure you that I mean no disrespect to the beautiful traditions, donors, and history of our church. Thank you for your understanding, charity, and support.

The Outreach Choir is a casual, fun choir that meets throughout the summer, Wednesdays at noon at CTK. The repertoire ranges from sacred to patriotic, 50's and 60's to Broadway and Disco! The Sisters of Mary Morning Star will have a craft sale on June 30 after the 7:30am & 10:30am Masses at IHM and after the 9am & 4pm (June 29) Masses at St. Patrick.
